THE TRIP is a road trip movie through the majestic, rough-hewn landscape separating Texas towns Marfa and Alpine with poet Eileen Myles as your guide. Inspired by Jack Kerouac’s spoken score of Robert Frank’s 1958 poetic classic Pull My Daisy, Myles talks dailiness and political realities with puppet interlocutors Oscar, Bedilia, Montgomery, Casper, and Crocky. Eileen Myles is a member of the WGA and recently adapted their novel, Chelsea Girls, into a screenplay.They have published more than twenty volumes of poetry fiction and nonfiction including Not Me (1991), Cool for You (2000), The Importance of Being Iceland: travel essays in art (2009), Inferno (a poet's novel) (2010), Afterglow (a dog memoir) (2017), and evolution (2018).
